During the first five centuries the Orc race frequently attacked their neighbors, the Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes and Halflings. Possessing the largest territory the Dwarves cared little of the rabble that followed the appearance of Orcs. However, after suffering them too long the other three races formulated in secret a plan to destroy the Orcs.
Using black magic the likes of which none had ever seen the Gnomes, Halflings and Elves created the Ballion alliance and cast a spell that decimated the Orc race. On the first day one Orc died, on the second two died, on the third four died, and so it went. When their race was almost eradicated the Ballion Alliance lifted their curse. The Orcs withdrew into their territory for many centuries without any sign that they were coming back. During this period the country of Sapieto noticed a dramatic increase in the number of missing men and women.
Only after five centuries of waiting did the Orcs reapered in the form of Human Orc hybrids. In the past five centuries their population had exploded into numbers vastly greater than their pure blood ancestors. Unprepared for this resurgence the Ballion alliance was unable to recreate the power their forefathers had used to quell the last war with the Orcs.
The Half-Orcs live in the area that has only recently been rechristened as Zalk. Once the home of Gnomes, Halfing, Orcs, and other half-breed races Zalk is now home only to the spreading Half-Orc tribe.
The government of Half-Orcs is a pure dictatorship. Whoever is the strongest fighter commands the vast armies of the hybrid horde, the current ruler is a female named Urz.
Possessing the strength of Orcs and the increased minds of Humans the voracious hybrids crushed the Gnomes and Halflings in a matter of weeks eradicating their entire species and pushed the Elves back into the forests.
The Half Orcs have continued warring since the day they emerged from the dank caves and barren deserts, battling with almost every race at least once.
As of late their current opponents are the Humans, the Elves, the Catfolk and the Sylphs. But, they have been known to attack West Calum purely for the entertainment value of fighting Dwarves. Their culture is based solely around the avenging of their pure blood ancestors.
